How To Use Bookmark and Selection pane in Power BI

Power BI BookMarks :

Using bookmarks in Power BI Desktop, you capture the currently configured view of a report page, including filtering and the state of visuals. 

• The current selected page
• Filters applied in the page 
• Slicers
• Sort order
• Drill location
• Visibility of an object (using the Selection pane)
• The focus mode or Spotlight modes of any visible object

To add bookmark on a page to capture its state as explained above, Go to Power BI Menu -> View ->bookmarks and click add  to add bookmarks as shown below.

On button, Select the action as shown below.

Power BI Selection Pane :

Using Selection Pane in Power BI Desktop, you can shown or hide the objects used in power bi report like table , chart, cards etc. This is very useful when you build complex report with multiple overlapping objects.

• Open your report 
• From view tab click on selection pane 
• All steps shown below
